During lockdown, we created an online version of the classic social deduction game Werewolf, bringing people together remotely for shared storytelling, strategy, and suspense. What began as a way to stay creatively connected quickly evolved into a powerful exploration of audience interaction and narrative agency.
The overwhelmingly positive response to the project—and the depth of engagement it inspired—became the first stone in the creation of Barrenbrook. It proved that even in digital space, audiences craved immersive, participatory experiences. This foundational experiment shaped our vision for Barrenbrook as a live, interactive theatre piece grounded in game-based storytelling.
