Creative Youth Programme
An Exciting Opportunity for Young People in Dumfries and Galloway. Aged Between 16 - 25 Years
This is a project for which we are actively seeking funds to be able to make it live.
This is a ground-breaking yearlong programme to work with young people from across Dumfries and Galloway. Bringing them together each week, to develop performance, team-work and creative skills, culminating in a devised piece of theatre to be performed by the participants.
"Worth it a thousand times over"
"“If anyone is wanting to get experience in becoming a playwright, this programme is the best there is to offer. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it a thousand times over.” - "
- Thomas (2020 Young Playwright's Programme participant)
About the Programme
A ground-breaking yearlong project to work with young people from across Dumfries and Galloway. Bringing them together to develop performance, team-work and creative skills, culminating in a devised piece of theatre to be performed by the participants.
This projects overall aim is to support 16 to 25’s who are struggling to find their path, be that due to the last few years of disruption from the pandemic, or socio-economic inequalities or any other reason, and perhaps help guide them towards their dreams.
