We are delighted to share that we are now in the process of applying for support to take The Secrets of Barrenbrook on a Scotland-wide tour in 2026. Building on the momentum of our autumn 2025 tour across Dumfries & Galloway, this next stage will allow us to bring the work to audiences right across the country, from major cities to rural communities.

This marks an important step for Bunbury Banter and for the project itself. The Secrets of Barrenbrook was created with the belief that bold, innovative theatre should not be confined to urban centres, but should resonate in village halls, local theatres and community spaces as much as in national venues. Extending the tour to a Scotland-wide scale will give us the opportunity to deepen that connection, reaching new audiences and forging new partnerships along the way.

Our plans include working closely with local venues and communities to make sure the production is accessible, welcoming and relevant wherever it travels. We will also continue to create opportunities for young people and emerging creatives to engage with the process through shadowing, workshops and creative roles.
